Let’s Meet Those Behind Pawsome Life

1. Blog Background

I’m not new to blogging. I starting blogging in 2010 when I rescued a dog. Pibbles & Me was a dog blog where I shared my journey with a dysfunctional pit bull named, Titan. From there, My Girly Parts was born where I blogged about everything womanly. During MGP, I also created Virtual Bren. VB was my part-time web design biz that I started to help other bloggers. I closed both chapters when my marriage failed and I had to focus on life after divorce.

2. Early Life

I was an adopted child to a wonderful adopted Mother, Father, and Brother, all of who have passed. I’ve had animals all my life (dogs, cats, bunnies). I played piano for many years. Loved to dance and roller skate. My Mother passed suddenly when I was 12 years old. From there on, my life was uprooted from all I knew.

2. In the Now

I’m in my mid 50’s and thinking of retirement and decided I wanted to join the blogging-world again. Time to network with like-minded people and share my over 50, divorced single-life with my dogs as I look forward to planning my retirement. I strive to live a good, peaceful life. I’m somewhat of a homebody nowadays but that doesn’t bother me. With all the joys of homeownership, there is always something that needs to be done. Oh, and let’s not forget about the needs of my pups. 😉

3. The Future

Retirement planning has commenced. I’m hoping to move out of my state and to the country-life. I have my eyes set on West Virginia, but by the time that happens, who knows what property may be available. I’m seeking a quiet, rural spot to spend the rest of my years, of course, with my pups, and who knows, maybe even a man-friend. It’s important that I surround myself with like-minded people as well. Going this alone, I need to be particularly careful of the “where” and make sure the “when” is financially feasible. Remember this, “it’s never to early to start planning”!

4. …and a bit more

I mentioned previously that I used to do web design. I thoroughly enjoyed helping others. In 2024, when I decided to start blogging again, I didn’t realize how rusty I was and frustration kicked in. The Blogging Realm and WordPress has changed so much! It’s almost like learning how to ride a bicycle or roller skate all over again!

By the way, those bumps and bruises hurt more now!
